  • Your Android device should be rooted with Magisk Manager installed.

  • Finally, download the necessary  Google Assitant 2.0 files from the provided link. There will be a total of three files: Coral-10-May.zip GEL.GSAPrefs.xml, and MagiskHidePropsConf-v5.2.5.zip. Download all of them and transfer it to your device.

Installation Steps for the Google Assistant 2.0

  • Launch the Magisk Manager APK on your rooted device. Tap on the hamburger menu and select Modules.
  • Within that, tap on the Plus icon, browse to the coral-10-may.zip, and select it. This will flash the said file.
  • Don’t just reboot your device. Again tap on the Plus icon, navigate to MagiskHidePropsConf-v5.2.5.zip and select it. The said file will be flashed as well.
  • Now hit the yellow Reboot button that appears at the bottom right. Once your device restart, you will have to clear Data and Cache of the Google App. For that, head over to Settings > Apps and Notifications > See all xxx Apps > Google > Storage and Cache > Clear Storage > Clear Google Search Data > OK.
  • Once you have cleared the cache and data, Force Stop the Google App.
  • Then launch the Google Assistant app. It will ask to download an additional 50MB of files, let the download complete.
  • Now launch any file explorer with root support capabilities. Copy the GEL.GSAPrefs.xml file and move it to data > data > com.google.android.quicksearchbox > shared_prefs. A popup dialog will then appear asking you to replace this file with the one already present there. Give it the necessary permission.
  • Next up, set the Properties of the shared_prefs folder as 551 (dr-xr-x–x). When that is done, force stop the Google App and that is it, you have successfully set up the new Assistant app.
