How To Install Miui 10 Beta Rom On Any Xiaomi Devices

MIUI 10 is the latest ROM from Xiaomi. It is currently available in the closed beta community. This means only those users registered as beta testers will get to use the ROM. Well, the good news if you have the corresponding Xiaomi device, you can also install and enjoy MIUI 10. Obviously, as of now, the MIUI ROM is available for a limited number of devices. You can install MIUI 10 Beta ROM on any Xiaomi phone by flashing the TWRP image for your respective device.

Below you can find the entire process of flashing latest MIUI 10 beta ROM on any Xiaomi device. Currently, the rollout is for limited devices, but in the coming days, more devices will enjoy MIUI 10. Also, we want to mention here that this is the first build of MIUI 10, there are high chances of bugs and glitches. So, we suggest you not to use it for your day-to-day- usage.

How To Install MIUI 10 Beta ROM on Any Xiaomi Device

Before moving on to the process of flashing the ROM you need to have few tools and utilities. Also, you have to follow certain guidelines.

Pre-Requisite

Make sure to charge the battery of your device up to 70%.
You need a PC/laptop with micro USB cable.
Take a full backup of your device data before performing any update.
Download and install latest Xiaomi USB driver.
Install Latest TWRP img file for your respective device.
Unlock the bootloader of your Xiaomi Device.
You have to download and install ADB Fastboot tools.

Note: This is a generalized tutorial for all Xiaomi phones, so we have not included any ROM Zip file for any Xiaomi device.

Steps of Installation

You have to download the TWRP img file.
Now download the ROM zip file for the respective device.
Next you will have to enter your device in Fastboot mode.
To enter fastboot mode, switch off your phone > press and hold the Power button+ Volume Down key.
Now connect your device to the PC/laptop for flashing the TWRP .img file.
Go to the folder in which you downloaded the TWRP image file. [It could be any drive C, D etc]
In the folder Hold Shift Key + Right click to open PowerShell Window.
In the PowerShell window, type the following command to flash the TWRP .img file.
fastboot flash recovery D:/twrp.img
Now to boot into custom recovery ie, TWRP recovery, give the following command.
fastboot boot D:/twrp.img
At this point, the custom recovery menu will show up.
Now you perform a clean wipe. Now in the Recovery Menu, select Wipe > Advanced Wipe > select the checkboxes Dalvik, Cache, Data, System.
Again go back to Recovery Menu Select Install >navigate to the storage location > select the ROM Zip file.
Swipe to confirm the ROM flashing. Now it will take some time for the process to finish.
Once you’ve installed the ROM, tap on “Wipe Cache/Dalvik”.
Finally, tap on reboot to complete the process.
